Students enroll in post secondary institutions for a variety of personal reasons, and many never earn a degree because of the lack of skills needed to successfully complete their intended academic journey. Measures of success, therefore, must take into account the different skills and tools that the students need in order to have a thriving year studying. For these reasons, LMDC implemented a “How to be a Successful Student” workshop of two to three days to help them get a positive start to help them succeed in a post secondary institution.
The topics to be discussed are the following:
- Budgeting: Art of budgeting, Cost of moving, Landlords and Tenants
